As a black woman from the south, though I don’t claim to be religious I can comfortably declare that I am a woman of faith. Rarely, (if ever), have I read about concepts or lessons from the Bible juxtaposed with the reality of the lessons being lived out in our lives. This piece was a bit of a deep reckoning for me. We live along side our white counterparts as they pick and choose which parts of the Bible to live by, conveniently ignoring parables and lessons that would force them to surrender their racist hearts to God. Anyway, thank your for this.
